Here is how to process the upgrade without losing your exam data:

1. In your Wordpress admin go to Settings, then to Watu PRO Settings. Make sure the checkbox saying "Delete all databases when deactivating the plugin" is NOT checked. See on the picture:

image

2. Deactivate the plugin.

3. Delete the plugin.

4. Upload the new zip file via Plugins -> Add New -> Upload

5. All done. Your exam and taking data is all there and old exams will keep working as is.

Sending emails to a segment of your visitors http://www.calendarscripts.info/forum/discussion/31/sending-emails-to-a-segment-of-your-visitors Wed, 28 Mar 2012 12:15:24 -0400 admin 31@/forum/discussions

1. In Manage Mailing Lists page you will see a link Manage under Filters column. Click on it.

For this pictorial example I have added three custom fields to my list - country, age, and gender. Gender is dropdown with options Male, Female.
So here is how my Filter page will look for this list:

2. Now I will create the following filters:

a) Females over 30 years old

image

b) Males from USA

image

c) Teenagers with email at Google

image

Note that filters are positive. Means you are targeting people, not filtering them out. So when you apply the filter "Males from USA" it will go to all males from USA in your mailing list and to no one else.

Each filter can have effect over its own mailing list only.

3. Here is how to apply these filters now:

a) For autoresponder emails

image

b) When sending newsletters

image

4. You can combine segmentation

Note that when you combine segmentation emails will go to subscribers who satisfy ALL the conditions of ALL filters for the given mailing list. So for example if you select the filters "Males from USA" and "Females over 30" noone will get a message. But  you can combine "Teenagers with email at Google" with "Males from USA" an your email will be sent to USA boys under 20 years old who have email @gmail.com

Using The External Signup Script http://www.calendarscripts.info/forum/discussion/30/using-the-external-signup-script Wed, 28 Mar 2012 11:43:43 -0400 admin 30@/forum/discussions This is a new feature available for both Basic and PRO versions of the PHP Autoresponder. It lets you completely hide the location of your autoresponder installation from the end users by using our external script. Here is how it works:

For the purpose of this guide let's say your site is www.johnsmith.com and has a cool registration form on the homepage. Also, let's say you have installed your autoresponder in folder "autoresponder" so you access the administration at www.johnsmith.com/autoresponder/admin.php

1. Copy the folder "external" from the autoresponder package you received and upload it under the root, so you now have the external signup script at www.johnsmith.com/external/signup.php (This is just an example location. You can place signup.php in any other foider you wish.

2. Edit signup.php so it has the correct installation URL and optionally an API password (API password is a password choosen by you and entered in General Settings page). Example:

And here is where you set up your API password in General Settings page:

3. Get the signup form code for any of the mailing lists you want to use and change the default form action URL:

4. That's it, you can now use this signup script instead of our one, and your installation URL remains hidden.

First, as usual create your mailing list. Then click on the link in the popup that says: "Configure as premium (paid access) mailing list":

Check the checkbox and set your currency and price.
If you have not yet done so, set your payment options following the link "payment options" as shown above.
You'll see the following page:

For Paypal it's enough to insert your Paypal ID. The buttons and the automated payment notification will be handled by the software.
For other payment options just insert the HTML code for the payment links or payment buttons. You may need to activate manually the members who pay through these other payment methods.
